WARNER MUSIC BENELUX | 5 MONTH PROJECT | INDIVIDUAL WORK
Topsify is the playlist-brand of Warner Music and wants to expand their boundaries. Next to Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music, they want to be on an even bigger platform, Youtube. Youtube is the main channel for public to listen to music and therefore one of the most important channels Topsify should aim on. The main question in this project was: What is the key to success for a big community for Topsify on Youtube?
Warner already had a concept to be implemented on Youtube, but it had much similarity to the competitors. I had to make this concept unique, accessible and interesting for the new community. Because why would viewers watch your video's while they can watch it on their old, trustworthy channel?
To come up with a good idea I did literature research, a competitor analysis and several depth-interviews. I worked completely alone on this project with a bit of support from my mentor. I facilitated brainstorms with colleagues of Warner.
For Warner Music Benelux I designed 'Topsify Entertainment', a youtube channel that helps Topsify, the playlist-brand of Warner, to go on Youtube with a new strategy which differentiates from the current competitors. This includes video's from artist like the Red Hot Chili Peppers in an escape room, Adele singing on a dutch bicycle (bakfiets) and Ali-B and Lil kleine gaming on an old game-console.
